Head of Nero viewed from slightly above with heavy shadows hiding his eyes due to the harsh light, with which I negotiated to make it work for rather than against. The photos I took at this exhibit were of sculptures that were not isolated, most everything was kind of stuffed together, some in cases with reflective surfaces, in other words it was a very "noisy" environment and the lighting was difficult. I put a good deal of effort into making portraits of them...because I love taking photos of sculpture. It took me from 2006 to 2016 to finally come up with treatments I liked.

Portrait view of church and steeple from outside the church fence, a bare-limbed winter tree in the middle-ground, imparting a gothic feel. The historical First Presbyterian Church located at 642 Telfair Street. The church was established in 1804 and the building completed in 1812. Wikipedia reports it was initially in the Classical style, then changed in 1847 "to incorporate Romanesque round-arched windows and doors and crenllated parapet walls." The original design is said to still be "evident" in the shape and scale of the building.
