I lived in New Orleans during the nineties when the city was the murder capital of the US. Did more cops protect you from violence?

They always arrived after the fact and brought more violence with them.

I was walking down a hall at my university and I saw a cop walking in the same hall with students going to classes. They had their utility belt filled with cuffs, batons, pepper spray and a hand gun. Those are all tools of violence. Completely unnecessary in that environment.

They carry it like a bad odor that fills a room when they walk in.

They protect no one and serve only themselves
