Playing with upcycled yarn and knots today.

Four-color screenprint (tan background, yellow watermarked “BUTTER” repeat pattern, blue and black text) reads “THE ONLY GOOD BUTTER IS SALTED BUTTER” along with text and measurements sourced directly from conventional American butter packaging.

Every semester, I challenge my students to create a “art as activism”/“hill I’d die on”screenprint. Many of them are hesitant to make overtly political work in studio full of strangers, so the cue becomes “what are you passionate about?” This was my 2023 demo.
