Several amazing people I know are facilitating this training, I have no hesitation in recommending their collective work.

Bellingcat is probably the only one I would actually sign up for, and it's likely I would be mostly absent post sign up unless there was some specific issue I was doing a deep dive on.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social talks about the inconceivable scale of the fires in LA.
Not inconceivable to Australians.
Gariwerd (VIC) lost an area the size of Singapore late 2024.
For some reason, & I suspect itโ€™s an anachronism, people think extreme weather in Australia is the rule. #auspol ๐Ÿงต 1/5

My immediate response was something that would apparently be deemed defamatory. Ugh.

Yesss. I do actually like sharing the apricots, but think I might bag up some bunches/clusters so the part of my brain that seems to be in hypervigilant apricot mode can relax!

Usually the plums are ripe by now and act as a slight distraction, but they're not this year.

The apricots in the backyard aren't quite ripe yet, and some weird part of my brain is feeling overly competitive with the birds.

I don't remember this happening last year.

And I've eaten more than one under ripe apricot so far. They're good!

Crunchy though.

And while we're at it, I mean is there really a problem with child labour. Shortening the womb to factory pipeline would be so much more efficient.

Uhhh apart from all the blindingly obvious problems with this scenario, sleep, and what happens during sleep, has such an huge impact on our overall health and wellbeing, and things like memory consolidation and learning.

This wld intentionally be breeding traits for forced/survival labour roles

No, and it's challenging to find really solid long form training content online that's not immediately either offensive, or just rubs me the wrong way.

Nobody ever planted a tree in this photo. It was a working gravel pit 30 years ago.

We need to get over our obsession with planting trees and let nature do the job. The results are just SO much better.

It's also about realising we are not, in fact, central to everything. ๐ŸŒ
