Looks ready to hunt beasts in the city of Yarnham
24.11.2025 00:27 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0100% this, benefits fraud is a drop in the ocean compared to what is lost in tax evasion + the lack of any wealth tax. probably also important to note, by increasing what we pay at the bottom doesn't increase tax revenues a great deal either, because there still is a vast pool of untaxed income
23.11.2025 23:43 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I want to know if this start up as Elizabeth Holmes involved, along with Sam Bankman-Fried
23.11.2025 23:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It was such an interesting class to take
23.11.2025 19:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oooo, they are also stunning. And no worries; you have given me some good ones to consider <3
23.11.2025 19:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Omg; that looks spectacular. I knew if anyone was going to send a quality deck; it would be you <3
23.11.2025 18:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Never not a timely moment to have this reposted.
23.11.2025 18:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Indeed, some people have raised to, oh but you shop in stores that still stock HP books and Merch, and I'm like, well I spend a lot on books, so kind of impossible where I am to avoid said bookstores. But, the decision I make, not to buy HP stuff now, is the important factor.
23.11.2025 18:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Anyone got like a tarot deck recommendation? Like a classic style, but with nice art, as opposed to like a pop culture deck. Asking, as I am starting a writing project and I could do with a deck for some of the things in said project.
23.11.2025 18:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It is all good, I also have to apologise, as I feel like, I may have came off as putting you on blast when it was more about the annoying people who keep using it that way to absolve themselves. Totally in agreement on your critique of people who keep using it in that way excuse their consumption
23.11.2025 18:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Missed that bit; just how the phrase is thrown about by the people trying to still hold water for Harry potter is a common gripe of mine ๐ญ it now makes discussions on literary criticism so much harder, and trying to actually ask people to engage with the text a bit more.
23.11.2025 17:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0JK Rowlings crime novels, are a prime example of this and are probably a massive reflection of her bigotries and hang-ups with certain things. + she uses the wealth to actively harm people while she sits on a massive yacht
23.11.2025 17:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Separating the art from the artist, even when the artist is actually dead. Because it ignores the aspects of the work that we ought to be thinking critically about; HP Lovecraft, notorious racist, his work is dripping with his racism and you have to go with that understanding.
23.11.2025 17:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This once again reminds me, so many people are still using "Death of the Artist" in the wrong way, as a means to absolve their consumption of the art despite it actively funding the harm of trans people. Death of the artist is just a means of literary analysis.
23.11.2025 17:48 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0One thing I do like about Zack, is that he is very consistent and clear in his messaging. Every time, I see him quizzed on tax policy, he is very on point with taxing the rich, there is no PR bullshit. It is good to see the Greens getting airtime for this.
23.11.2025 10:56 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It is; I actually took a class in my postgrad about ethics and writing laws & regulations. Which was a super interesting insight into how hard it can be write laws that are reflective of moral and ethical ideals. It is why interpretation and application are important,
23.11.2025 10:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It is shocking how many people think like that; like, I did Jurisprudence as a law student. The Philosophy of Law is interesting, because reading on that topic at length, will tell you that law is never the barometer of morality. By that framing, everything the British gov is technically "moral"
23.11.2025 10:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0God that take is sickening; I am absolutely repulsed by his thinking and his "well, the moral standards were different back then"- like that makes Jefferson any less of a hypocrit, slaver and rapist.
23.11.2025 10:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Who would later be important revolutionary thinkers in the French Revolution, even called him out for it, saying you say these things in the declaration of independence, yet you own slaves.
Listening to the Behind the Bastards on him was so interesting, cause he was worst than I thought.
Is that the Thomas Jefferson defender? Cause, I saw some of his bullshit, and i was like, while accurate Jefferson did involve himself in attempts at abolition, he eventually pivoted and was like, I need slaves to maintain this lifestyle.
So much so when he was in France talking to some guys
EMBRACE TRADITION

23.11.2025 00:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Rightfully fucking so, little cephalopods wearing their little hats
23.11.2025 00:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I love how the media class are like Nigel farage, a racist, this is shocking news go us. And it is like, blimey
22.11.2025 15:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Haha, as a brit, this is very much the case. Like, give me the vast variety of spicy Asian dishes, give me ramen, give me Italian food, the list goes on
22.11.2025 15:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The argument about, oh this medical intervention has risks so we need to ban it, can apply to any medicine. My anti-depressants came with a massive booklet detailing all the risks. The Cass Review ignored so many long tail studies showing the positive outcomes for trans youth,
22.11.2025 10:57 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0People also need to realise, the Cass Review deliberately ignored data that disproved its positions. The Cass Review, went in with the answer it wanted to find and fudged the data to support it. Basically scientifically unethical,
22.11.2025 10:53 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If we accept, risk with puberty blockers means we should ban them, then that argument can be applied to any medicine. Anti-depressants, like the ones I'm on, come with a massive booklet of side-effects and risks, but i am more functional on them, but by that logic, they should be banned.
22.11.2025 10:53 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It is an inherently unscientific position; we have decades of people living absolutely fine lives on HRT, puberty blockers have been used for decades and we have essentially a lot of long tail data showing they are safe. Now are there side-effects and risk, yes but that exists with all medicine
22.11.2025 10:53 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0hillary cass is to gender-affirming care what andrew wakefield is to vaccinations.
