We removed as much fossil fuel from our lives as possible years ago, as a result we're reasonably insulated from things like oil price rises.
Yet this never mentioned in the reports about rising fuel prices. It's all about surviving the latest shock, nothing about planning your own personal future.
Why am I not hearing any considered, thoughtful debating about the place of jury trials in the modern world? Just tribal Good/Bad chanting, which tells us nothing.
I can think of a good number of reasons why juries do not fit in a modern prosecution. But that doesn't mean I'm against them.
