With Tom Lehrer's passing, I suppose this is a moment to share the story of the prank he played on the National Security Agency, and how it went undiscovered for nearly 60 years.

I can't thank our amazing contributors enough. And our publisher @ericraglin1992.bsky.social. And our Kickstarter backers!
You heard it here, folks: WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST LEAVE is a Shirley Jackson Award-winning anthology. Hugely proud of Nadia, Julia, and every single writer who made this book the spectacularly scary, dark, and stunning anthology it is!

09.05.2025 00:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Most of the courtโs docket orders do not list who voted where, and thereโs no way to know from the outside anything except โmore than fiveโ (or in the cases of cert grants, โmore than four.โ)
This docket order happened to have writing that told you three of the people who voted for.
Iโve seen a couple of people say that the Supreme Court was 9-0 in Abrego Garciaโs case, and I donโt believe we know that.
It was in regard to an administrative stay, and not an opinion of the court, so Justices could not have voted for the stay and chosen not to write a dissent.
