Yepp, they did cite force majeure but they were completely unequipped to rebook us or even provide hotels etc. Essentially just told us to keep all the receipts and email them to customer service.
The airline essentially capitulated, cited force majeure and dumped us back into Melbourne without any plan or guidance. All their flights are still suspended and given the demand they couldn't (didn't want to?) book us on alternative flights. I booked a new flight going through north America...
On a flight from Melbourne to Frankfurt (with a layover in Qatar) right now and our plane just turned around.
I guess that seminar in Mannheim on Monday is getting a little tight now.
Any advice on what the airline is required to provide would be much appreciated 🙏🏼
