I think the horse has bolted on this one. Patients are going to use LLMs in time. Drs have had to deal with “dr google” - which was historically probably very poor - but I hope that good clinicians will be more open to well informed patients asking good question.

Implications? (Granted it’s a small study - but well designed)
1. Giving LLM decision support to physicians won’t necessarily improve performance
2. What would happen, I wonder, if patients had access, to the outputs, empowering them with a second opinion?
