I feel this, Sheena. Being the parent of an autistic teenager keeps us busy, as they need to keep us close as they take their own steps, at their own pace into the big scary world. Great job 👏 So pleased it went well for them 💝

I’ve found giving a simple language to personality types really helpful. Colours is great. We can then acknowledge differences, and where we clash/ get frustrated, without the judgement or impression that one personality type is “better” than another… #selfawareness #respect #communication

1. Relationship with staff (so they feel valued)
2. Relationship with parents (so they know you’re fair with clear boundaries & expectations)
3. Relationship with governors (so you have a shared vision and set of priorities)
