Amazing that hot garbage like that always makes it through
First thing I notice when logging back in: duplicate UI

20.05.2025 12:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, my actual stance on that is, if your GitHub lawn is "green", sure, go for it. Otherwise look elsewhere.
16.05.2025 14:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good signal for who not to apply to...?
16.05.2025 13:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The other night, my youngest walked down the hall behind the kitty, arms up, asking her for a goodnight hug.
One of the cutest things I've seen my kids do.

09.05.2025 23:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And then in some places, Pennant feature checks would be run and stop migrations from running since the features table didn't exist yet.
01.05.2025 13:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Specifically, if I was trying to update a migration for a brand data structure that hadn't been deployed yet, I would just edit the new migration instead of creating another migration to modify the table or columns.
This would require rolling back or wiping the DB first though.
Wait, but if features are stored in the DB, will this break migrations if someone clones the project for the first time? (checking a Pennant feature I mean)
I've had that happen a lot.
Outside-in is always nice.
Works the same with frontend: how do you want your users to actually use it? And you can use a dummy layer for data/content below the layer you're actually working on until you have it all wired up.

>We've increased the character limit to 299!
Wonder what they're budgeting that 300th character away for. π€
Tried Blueprint by Shift for the first time recently. Awesome package for quick scaffolding!
At the same time, I also got to learn not to list any models that already existβor at least make sure they're in git first. π
Wait, why subscription hacked?
31.03.2025 16:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why is it always hard to tell if your boys are having fun or killing each other? π
31.03.2025 15:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also first time trying Blueprint by Laravel Shift. Didn't realize how helpful it would be, especially since I was already in the habit of writing data structure I'm thinking about almost in the format of their Draft file format.
Gonna have to keep using that. π
It's nothing glamorous at the moment, just a personal freelance jobs DB basicallyβjobs + status + location, orgs they're for, contacts, notes...
It has another supporting purpose that I have to figure out (if it turns out it's even possible). We'll see.
Hmm... Might actively start using this term to refer to *not* riding the Hype Train. π

29.03.2025 14:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, deciced to send in a feature request for this. I'm getting more and more used to doing just keyboard nav. Less mouse ftw π
29.03.2025 13:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sounds like an extension of the "what we design" vs. "what users want" problem. We probably are moving towards a single conversational interface after all.
