I really have no idea what Northwestern is thinking. But I don’t think this is ADA accessible.

There’s nothing like taking those 15 minutes of a busy day, and taking time to mop the floors. Whatever you’re doing now can wait. You deserve to find peace in your floors.

I once heard someone say, β€œdon’t show up to work with your hair wet because it makes people imagine you being in the shower”

And I just thought to myself, wow. What an asinine thought.

This occupation is awful. And from what I have seen so far, it’s terrorizing black and brown communities. Sometimes even the protest.

I cannot believe you all cannot see the absolute trauma that this experience is. I cannot even comprehend why someone would do that, to take the time out of their day. Perhaps this is trauma. I don’t know what to say. Seems like a cry for help.

Guardian headline: "Young lives cut short on an unimaginable scale: the 18,457 children on Gaza’s list of war dead"

The children’s names below appear on a list of victims of Israel’s offensive in Gaza, maintained by health authorities in the territory. As of the end of July it ran to 60,199 names, of whom 18,457 were under 18s. Far from comprehensive, the list does not include the thousands still buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings, as well as the war’s many indirect victims"

"You obviously used them very well."

Why do you have to be careful in a bank? Thats their job. Why do they think I have showed up here? Security is their job, because I’ve hired them, with my money.

Are people diagnosing based on what people post on the internet? omg, that is so embarrassing. I’m not at my great grandmothers house! We don’t do that here! Don’t do that! That is so weird and dumb! And very annoying, too. Like a Bobby Kennedy dinner party. Fuck off! Ew.

Also, fuck Whole Foods Hippies. They’re just as bad as the church, and why are the founders all white? Like they invented harvest diversity? Reminds me too much of 4-7th grade (minus sixth) of Texas(β€˜s) History. Remember the bean camps to discuss Native American exploitation?

Oof. Damn. It’s not always that deep. Sometimes that happens, yes. And also sometimes you can just hate the fucking church cause they suck and are dumb.
You can just be apathetic, too.

But too many of the slaves died in captivity. And so Columbus, desperate to pay back dividends to those who had in-vested, had to make good his promise to fill the ships with gold. In the province of Cicao on Haiti, where he and his men imagined huge gold fields to exist, they ordered all persons fourteen years or older to collect a certain quantity of gold every three months. When they brought it, they were given copper tokens to hang around their necks. Indians found without a copper token had their hands cut off and bled to death.
The Indians had been given an impossible task. The only gold around was bits of dust garnered from the streams. So they fled, were hunted down with dogs, and were killed.

After each six or eight months' work in the mines, which was the time required of each crew to dig enough gold for melting, up to a third of the men died.
While the men were sent many miles away to the mines, the wives remained to work the soil, forced into the excruciating job of digging and making thousands of hills for cassava plants.
Thus husbands and wives were together only once every eight or ten months and when they met they were so exhausted and depressed on both sides... they ceased to pro-create. As for the newly born, they died early because their mothers, overworked and fam-ished, had no milk to nurse them, and for this reason, while I was in Cuba, 7000 children died in three months. Some mothers even drowned their babies from sheer desper-ation.... In this way, husbands died in the mines, wives died at work, and children died from lack of milk ... and in a short time this land which was so great, so powerful and fer-tile... was depopulated... My eyes have seen these acts so foreign to human nature, and now I tremble as I write....

Please remember that the disgust people have over Christopher Columbus is not based on some modern, 21st century β€œwoke” ideology, but rather on contemporaneous accounts of atrocities that make many modern genocides appear quaint in comparison.

Below, are the accounts of BartlomΓ© de las Casas.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

β€œMy world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

ICE kidnapped a 7th-grader with a pending asylum claim and spirited him out of state without notifying his parents, seemingly with the cooperation of the local police in Everett, MA.

Whistling when ICE is about to kidnap someone for no reason is incredibly effective. They know what they are doing is wrong and will scatter in the wind when too many witnesses gather.
