He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Westerbork in February 1944. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

15 February 1914 | A Hungarian Jewish woman, Serena Stein, was born in Varsolc. She worked in a nursery.

In June 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz together with her 3-years old daughter Frumet. Most probably they were murdered in a gas chamber together.

18 December 1941 | 11 Polish Jews, prisoners from the Penal Company located in Block 11 at Auschwitz I camp, were shot dead.

They probably tried to take advantage of the bad weather conditions and escape from the camp.

I studied the the Eastern European front in WWII and there were not many prisoners of war. Many Soviet soldiers fought to the death due to the brutality of the Nazis and their view on the Slavic people. This shows how the Germans treated soviet soldiers similar to the Jewish people.
