I love taking Quigley on nighttime walks as something about the city always makes it feel as if we’ve stepped into a film noir.

Riding at speed through a pedestrian filled crosswalk against the light? “But I’m not a car!!!!” Looking 90 degrees off from your direction of travel? “But I’m a tourist seeing the city!!!”

My loathing for these things grows by the day, especially as the weather turns nicer. They destroy urban life, as it seems that the worst people are disproportionately drawn to them. Going 25 mph down the sidewalk? “But I’m biking!!!!”
