07.10.2025 06:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thereβs really pretty much nothing like Swiftβs work.

06.10.2025 20:26 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting! I would think a lot of people go the opposite direction regarding digital hardcore and gabber. From one of the two, to breakcore, especially because gabber and digital hardcore existed prior to breakcore.
07.10.2025 01:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shit is fire ngl, especially the flashcore stuff that exists with extratone elements
06.10.2025 01:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wait are there people who regularly listen to breakcore but not extratone?? Like all my friends who are into breakcore also listen to extratone.
05.10.2025 23:42 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0If youβre trying to combine it with or create more melodically driven elements itβs gonna be more work. If you just have an ambient backing track with breaks and some hardcore kicks it can be pretty straight forward to create something presentable. You have a lot of room to work with.
04.10.2025 01:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cont. add further variation and highlight points which you want to be more energetic with snare rushes, granulized snares, and various types of post processing.
Pitch shifting snares is a great way to make stuff have that quintessential breakcore drum sound. Resample and further granulize results
Oh btw, simple breakcore break manipulation workflow: choose a break (or several.) create a couple repeating loop using chunks of the break(s.) use these loops to rough out a general en and flow/tension and release thing throughout your track.
04.10.2025 01:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whoops I meant trackers*
03.10.2025 23:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dang Iβm sorry you feel that wayβ¦ T_T
I didnβt mean to discourage youβ¦ how long have you been producing for? And how many times have you composed/produced in odd time signatures? It def takes some time to get used to!
Also, the stuff youβre already making (ambient, noise, drone) provides wonderful sound design and composition skills to help you make more percussive genres. Having a nice ambient track as a background element can sound excellent in IDM or breakcore!
03.10.2025 21:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Renoise is pretty straight forward if you already have experience other trackers imo
03.10.2025 21:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Lsdj is super cool, but Iβve never tried to do anything serious with it. I really should some time.
03.10.2025 21:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah as mentioned by faustine itβs pretty common for artists to use tracks. Regular DAWs are good too, IDM isnβt that hard to make, usually, breakcore is a bit tricker. But a lot of it depends on how much you wanna do. In both you can automate stuff or use existing material to lessen the workload.
03.10.2025 21:06 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yesss, I love making long breakcore tracks. I think I currently have the worldβs longest released reizokore track at a bit over 30 min long.

03.10.2025 20:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Kinda a goated sample pack. Iβve been a big fan of the (what I think) are breaks from Kenko Taiji that are called βkt_amenβ
03.10.2025 20:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It can be a bit tricky though for sure
03.10.2025 20:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love making breakcore in odd time singatures! Usually I stick to more traditional breakcore stuff for that, but Iβve done some odd time signature reizokore stuff too
