trying a wig #SkyDraw

need to get over my fear of drawing characters with a lot going on in their design (90% of all anime/game character or vtuber designs)

I realized I don't think I've really drawn 2 or more people in a single image before... at least I can't remember the last time I did that

I had to turn off auto lock in my phone settings and leave my screen on for over an hour, for nothing. this app/platform/whatever doesn't want me to upload videos or multiple images in one post anymore it seems

I wanted to upload the timelapse of my last drawing (less than 3 mins) but it took well over an hour (!) for the progress circle to reach the halfway point (!!) and then it errored out. app or web browser seems to make no difference, both are equally as slow

is uploading images and videos to bsky excruciatingly slow for anyone else recently... like for the last several weeks

I'm really liking how it's turning out, idk if I should share the wip or wait until it's done to post...

I think I need to get another artist to help give my avatar's outfit a glow-up since I'm so bad at character design and fashion

I started on a drawing as a warm-up for today but it looks like I'm going to end up spending all of today's energy on it...

it wasn't even only at the part at the end. literally from the moment that pikachu appeared on screen, and throughout the episode. I have no idea why

really was not expecting to struggle to keep myself together while eating dinner and watching a cute lighthearted show

I got around to watching pokemon concierge
why tf did episode 4 make me cry...
it's not even a sad show but that shy pikachu did something to me

youtube making me feel like I need a lathe, since it's used in like half the videos I watch. also making me want to get into woodworking

might also be the somewhat kingdom hearts vibes it has with the young cheery protagonist and the group of characters designed by nomura that look straight out of a kingdom hearts or a final fantasy. it's funny how they look so distinct from the rest of the characters, but also it rules

an aside, the "chronicles" in the english titles is so dumb. what do you mean chronicles? making the title longer and more tedious to say/write for no reason (to sound more fancy?)

still thinking about xenoblade 2, how did that game manage to capture me the most out of all 3 games despite all its flaws...
I don't know if it's a masterpiece, but there's something about it... the fun characters in a dramatic story. how earnest it is. maybe the rough edges made it more endearing

kinda funny how chaotic my media tab is on my main, even with it being 99% my own work. I clearly cannot settle on anything, I crave novelty

I imagien those are for like people who can't stop calling you for help on how to use an app while clearly showing they have no intention of learning it and they plan on calling you forever and they refuse to learn anything ever and I'm totally not being angry about it just thinking about it now

at least drag and drop taught me the basic logic and execution order of code. it was a decent stepping stone to learning proper programming. can't say the same for all those "why learn skills?? you should keep giving us money and let computer do it for you instead!" services.

reminds me of when I started learning gml in gamemaker and realized it wasn't really any more difficult than drag and drop, and that drag and drop was in fact more annoying and tedious to do everything in.

those website building services have a strong incentive to make writing websites from scratch seem difficult and impossible for most people. all those ads subconsciously making people assume that it's something they can't do, and that they have to use those services

I'm so looking forward to seeing what they cook up for future kirby games

god I love how the bosses in forgotten land/star crossed world are pretty much exactly how I hoped 3D kirby boss battles would be like. I feel validated comparing kirby games to those by platinum games (they even added the witch time dodge to forgotten land!)

honestly I don't care that much about kirby lore, I just thought this was a really neat creative decision

though forgotten land already made it clear that all the languages are canon, it's neat to hear them all in the same track. I'm sure they exist but I can't really think of any other games or media that embrace the different translations/localizations like this.

now that I think about it, it's pretty cool that one of the tracks (maybe a couple?) in kirby star crossed world mixes audio from all the different language localizations of forgotten land. really cool that they're all treated as canon and it makes sense so I didn't think much of it at first.
