I don’t disagree but I think the destroyer + ball carrier combo is EXACTLY how Amorim wants to play..looking at Sporting. And then on as Ugarte plays deep, Bruno drops in occasionally for the ball, and looks for the long pass into an overlapping LWB or cross field into Diallo or Hojlund in behind.

I’ll be VERY surprised if we don’t end up here..and with Bruno on a SERIOUS fraud watch for the summer and replacements coming in for Shaw and Mount next season at the very latest

Nah all the signs are there that this is going to be different if you look closely enough. Probably the closest that came to this was Ten Hag but he never stuck to his original system and I think that’s what did him. I think our excitement is not unfounded.
