I've had Bruno twice this season, I usually refuse to pick United players because I feel I'm bad luck and well the obvious, we're not a safe bet๐คฃ
Both games I've picked Bruno he's missed a pen.
I've got a few hours to decide to sub him with Joao Pedro but it's Sunderland๐ญ

We've all seen these graphics popping up with the win rate comparisons etc.
I'm not surprised by the low percentage, but I'm surprised we've won 18. I don't feel like we've won 18 games.

It didnโt have to be short-term *or* long-term. Clearing the deadwood & building culture mattered, but so does the here & now.
The decisions have always been about long term success and that's ultimately going to cost him this job.
Sir Alex until the end of the season?

I'm joking to an extent, I'm happy Rashford, Antony and that little Ronaldo wannabe bellend are gone.
But the next manager and we all know it's coming, is going to have some headaches.

The two times I've trusted Bruno in FPL this season he's missed a penalty.
Incredible start to the game week๐ญ๐คฃ

This is the most withdrawn I've ever been from the club and don't get me wrong, I'm quite glad because I've spent the best part of a decade being wound up. It's a nice change.
I deliberately withdrew, but I didn't expect it to be this easy, I will say I'm chuffed to see Sesko off the mark๐พ๐ช

The feelings this club has given me in 33 years are mostly unmatched. Football is unique in that way.
What's worrying is there is little to no feeling, win or lose now.

Last season was the most difficult I've ever experienced, you always get that hope during pre-season but then Grimsby happens. It's easier expecting the worst because it's only uphill from there๐

That being said, I'm a bit stressed at the thought of Garnacho celebrating next week. You know him and his brother are salivating at the thought of it.

I was mentally prepared for that today.
This season and last season, for me, are very much the same.
Good transfer window, full summer, nothing notably different on the pitch.
I tapped out last season and after Fulham, I decided to do the same again this season.

Onana agreeing to leave is great.
Most of us were excited when he signed, like we are with Lammens.
He didn't work out but he's been a professional from the get go and by agreeing to leave is helping out the club.
Hope it works out for him and he regains some confidence/form.

There's still a lot of fodder at the club but I'm surprised to see as many ins and outs as we did, especially considering we can't afford to feed the staff these days.

Garnacho, Sancho, Rahsford and Antony are great exits.
Hojlund I'm gutted for, well mannered kid who was here at the wrong time. There's a player there.
A few expiries, Lindelof, Evans etc.
Overall, it's a decent clear out and arguably more important than whoever came in.

My head going into this was filled with hope, but the expectation of what we're seeing.
This is the most relaxed I've been so far this season. I didn't even set aside time to watch, I took my kids to an indoor play place, I'm watching the game on silent.
It is what it is. We're still in the storm๐พ๐ช

I'm looking forward to Burnley, I'm hoping for a good bounce but if we lose, there's still 35 games to play to avoid the drop.

I got too wound up after Grimsby and Fulham.
I like Ruben. I don't like how he's dead set on one system, regardless of opposition. I don't think it will work.
But, I don't think a new manager is the answer. It's an endless loop of signs of change without being able to win two games in a row.

Last season we finished 15th.
This season we have gone out of the cup in the 2nd round.
It's the hope that kills us, Amorim coming out positive in the presser isn't surprising. He's very good at that.
But my expectation for the season now is doing better than last season. If that's 14th so be it.

I think he was great at stroking and managing the egos, it was an impressive period but that team was outrageously good with probably the best version of Ronaldo. It would have been difficult not to win.

Not to mention the transfer record, everyone he signed during both stints were flops bar Rodrygo.
Notable flops, Hazard, Morata, Jovic.
Let players like Hakimi, Llorente, Odegaard leave.
I think there's a very good reason he's not managing and has managed anywhere else.

Zidane for me, is a terrible shout.
He resigned from Real second time around due to not having support from the board and media pressure.
First time around, incredible achievements but inherited CR, Bale, Benzema, Kroos, Modric, Ramos, Marcelo etc.
He'll be inheriting Dalot, Onana, Ugarte, etc
28.08.2025 12:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0
We'll circle back when he brings in Jordan Henderson and Kalvin Phillips๐

Amorim tweaking tactics is moving Dalot from the right to the left.

If Amorim walks, who's the best option to manage Manchester United right now?
Is there anyone capable? Or even available? Because there won't be much ยฃยฃยฃ available to pry one away from someone.
I'm thinking the only realistic option is McKenna.
That's a big gamble, no?
Where's Ole?
