If we talk just about "annoy", and not more, it's willful ignorance. The claim that one knows best because they read a cover of a book once and nothing can persuade them otherwise, because that wouldn't fit their preferred narrative.

I am notnsure Serenais would try to find one in the first place. In her reasoning, if the situation is bad enough that the WoL can't handle it, who else is there? Is it worth opening oneself to essentially a complete stranger just to get a "I am sorry, I am not sure how to help you"?

(...) complicated terms (Serenais doesn't swear; she found it often has greater effect to be as prickly as possible while staying "diplomatic"), and through applied sarcasm, her "stoic mask" will start to get cracks.
Then there's worse than bad enough. In such a case, she'll be visibly angry, (...)

Most of the time, it doesn't, really. Serenais keeps as much as she can under wraps; at most, she'd become even quieter than usual.
When it gets bad enough, Serenais conversely gets talkative, and in a somewhat abrasive way will start addressing the person who angered her, using long and (...)

Also, it was ridiculously expensive to have it made, and required the work of several jewelcrafters and blacksmiths to be made to her specifications. It would be a waste not to use it. x)

Serenais, being an aetherologist, designed her rapier (if it can be called such) to fit her way of casting, her aetheric field and her aether flows. As such, the primary reason to use it is that it just does a really good job. (...)

When it comes to being the WoL, there is a lot of guilt to gather. Saving an impefect world comes at a cost. Serenais remembers faces of people who she fought and who didn't get to walk away. She remembers the people that she couldn't save.
It's enough to give her nightmares.

At least that's how Serenais rationalises it to herself.

It's hard to categorise in this way. If anything, Serenais fights in a terrifyingly efficient way. She uses shock and awe combined with overwhelming force, while showing as little emotion as possible. The reason is twofold; people frozen with fear are less likely to provide resistence, (...)

Aymeric once got pissed by a noble insisting one time too many on him not calling Serenais a "lady" (as Serenais is an Ishgardian commoner by birth), so he knighted her on the spot out of spite.

Depends. Serenais doesn't have any titles that would have more than a symbolic meaning.
If she feels like sending a message to an overly arrogant noble, she'll have herself styled as "Serenais, the Lady Thea".

Serenais would be quiet and respectful, but also probably boted quite early through the film. She's too smart for her own good, and would likely figure out the plot.
That being said, give her a film with proper unexpected but meaningful twists... And she'll buy popcorn the next time.

Thancred, Alisaie and Serenais' parents call her "Seren". Y'shtola and Alphinaud are close enough friends for it to fit too, but Y'shtola just finds it "unbecomming" (Serenais was the junior opponent of Y'shtola's archon thesis) and Alphinaud just can't help himself be formal ALL THE TIME.

5.0. I can be quite invested in a story, if the game presents a good one well.
5.0 was Shadowbringers.
I probably do not need to elaborate.

"A world that doesn't need a Warrior of Light." is what Serenais would say.

23.10.2025 13:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Serenais is #4. Her life went off the rails only after she became the WoL at age 30, and even that going off the rails was a slow gradual process that didn't reach drastic levels until ARR, when she was 35.

Just those who overdo what they believe is a native Ishgardian pronounciation.
Neither "s" in "Serenais" is silent.

21.10.2025 23:12 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Silent rage. Serenais does her best to keep whatever is going on underneath, underneath. She just becomes more quiet when angry. If she starts using long complex terms when adressing a person, or worse, becomes obviously angry, those are not just warning signs, that's an imminent catastrophe.

21.10.2025 22:07 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No. It's not worth it. Regardless whether whatever would take place of the reality she'd know would be better, Serenais wouldn't erase the one already present.
Nothing in it deserves to have never existed.
