though the piece shares the number of trans mass shooters (5) by quoting the student debating Kirk, CBC fails to provide more info on ratio of trans to non-trans mass shooters. to those unaware of the vast number of U.S. mass shootings in the last decade, even one could be alarming sans context

in fact, the only time the CBC mentions trans people in the article is in reference to Kirk's exchange with a student seconds before he got shot. At the moment Kirk was perpetuating the claim trans people are violent, stating "too many" have been behind mass shootings
