This is what happened for me. Bounced off the beta real quick, heard too much good stuff and picked it up. Really enjoyed it, haven’t stopped playing it.

There are a couple of late game segments that I don’t like replaying as much, but they weren’t enough to stop me from replaying it like 5 times since release. I’m forcing myself to step away from it lol
Took me a while for it to click, and the full release having more stuff outside of the immediate gameplay helped a lot.

they're not for me, but most stuff in most shooters has been targeted towards me and my demographic and it's great to see other people happy with the girlypop skins and cosmetics. overwatch is pushing big time in that direction and I think it's a good thing!

Modern RE games are such a good combination of classic video game sensibilities and modern AAA luxuriousness. Smooth and polished without losing friction. Super grateful for them.

The full release has rather nice progression systems that ease the pain of failed runs, and while I’ve had a LOT of those, they don’t sting as bad as I thought they would. It’s heavily PvP focused, but teammates always seem chill and I haven’t seen any toxicity so far.

I bounced off the beta of Marathon with a swiftness, but I’m glad I gave it another shot. The tutorialization is not good, and the UI doesn’t make things easier. But the game’s art and lore have been keeping me interested while I get a grasp on the gameplay side of things.

Finally got around to checking out Despelote.
You should play it at some point if you haven't! Slice of life isn't something that interests me normally, but I loved this. Simple and short, but really warm and memorable too.
Monster Hunter World never felt like it reached its peak until Iceborne, so I'm just waiting around until the expansion for Wilds to play the "final" game. Chillin!
I would not recommend the PS3 version lol, yeaaaaah get the special edition at least! much cleaner experience as far as bugs and what not! it should still be pretty cheap itself
