Claims of double-charging and excessive rent in NSW child protection system Following stinging critiques of NSW’s child protection system, a widespread review found out-of-home care was “not fit for purpose” and lacked accountability and oversight.

For years, the PSA and our dedicated members have been tirelessly advocating to return out-of-home care to public hands. Public servants are uniquely equipped to manage the system with the expertise and commitment it deserves.
