I'm not really sure. The tree is a couple of metres tall at most, and at normal magnification the blossom bunches look snow-like.

I try to ambush them when they're feeding 😂. I once chased an iridescent blue ladybug up and down a leaf, only for the image to be too small anyway. I'm not a huge fan of bugs tbh, but I do like the odd few like butterflies, ladybugs, caterpillars.

Until recently mine were nil too. Scraped by with a 52% pass mark in high school art. Never thought I'd be any good. I'm following some free YouTube tutorials, and am really enjoying the learning journey.

I'm in love with the first one. The colour combination is great, and brightness looks fine to me. It has an almost magical quality to it. I can't explain the feeling I get from it exactly, but it's very interesting.

I hitched mine to a macro lens, which sounds like overkill now that I say it, but some of the smaller drops were hard to shoot with just the lens. I couldn't get close enough to capture details on bugs either.

I look forward to see how it turns out.

Would love to see them when you're done editing. Most of mine turn out too bright.

It's more or less the same for me. After the first few tries I realised ICM wasn't going to be my thing, but every now and then the lighting is low enough for me to experiment with it.

I've recently acquired some extension tubes myself, and water drops are a favourite subject of mine. Challenging, but worth it when you get the right shot.

It's why I prefer to shoot in full manual mode. Auto often considers my creative decisions to be flaws. It's been my pleasure. Your waterdrop images are divine (I'm actually rather jealous, haha)

2/2 the texture and blending properties of watercolour paint. It's a neat app for learning art, because I can erase mistakes as many times as I want without ruining the canvas.

Thank you. It's the latter. I paint using a tablet, magnetic pencil, and the Procreate app. The app lets you choose from different "brush" settings, which make your pencil imitate a brush dipped in real-life paint. So choosing watercolour gives your strokes 1/2
