The president is handing out oversized clown shoes to his cabinet — and watching to see who refuses to wear them.

It's Solzhenitsyn's Stalin story come to life: the first person to stop applauding ended up in the gulag. The lesson then, as now — never be the first to stop clapping.

Very disappointing, though ultimately unsurprising, to see the DOJ surrender in the middle of the Ticketmaster-LiveNation case after political pressure from the top. Hopefully the states will continue to push to break up a monopoly that should have never been allowed to exist in the first place.

Coming up on 30 years since the Dunblane school shooting massacre (13th March 1996) and watching another documentary about it. The families wanted to end legal handgun ownership and we passed those laws. We’ve not had a school shooting since. I ache for all Americans who cannot get this done there.

I’m seeing a whole lot of “but what about” posts on here today.

We’ve reached the point of fascism (a long time ago, honestly) when things are really bad for a lot of people.

Someone naming how it’s bad for them isn’t taking anything from you. Solidarity with each other is the way out of this.

Reform are strong in all of the polls
except @YouGov

They are using bizarre adjustments to
suppress the true figures

No wonder their share price has fallen
by over 80 percent in recent years!

Someone tell Nigel that X polls aren't real polls for Christ's sake.

Poor fella has ended up believing stuff he's seen on CatturdBrit2379's feed and lost all touch with reality.

A tax barrister sued me personally for £8m for libel after we linked him to a tax avoidance scheme.

Today the High Court struck out the claim, granted summary judgment, and ruled it was a SLAPP. The judgment is highly critical.

a chart showing that. There's almost no impact on productivity for firms, the vast majority showing either no impact or a very, very small impact, less than 5%,

The impact of "AI" on productivity over for large firms over the past 3 years (US, UK, DE, Aus) according to NBERS

Police in Britain Repeatedly Declined to Investigate Epstein. Why?

Exclusive: The Metropolitan Police interviewed Virginia Giuffre 3 times after her lawyers handed them a dossier of evidence saying that she was trafficked to UK by Epstein and Maxwell, and made her have sex with Prince Andrew

But they did not launch an investigation

“The UK's official climate adviser said the cost of meeting net zero is less than A SINGLE (my CAPS) fossil fuel price shock. £4 billion of additional spending per year to 2050 is required to stay on track for net zero, according to the Climate Change Committee.

This is a shocking report. Staff at food banks have told GMB that some users are now so desperate, they're ripping open food parcels to eat as soon as they get them.

In the last year, Trussell has distributed more than 2.5 million emergency packages

I find habits can come and go. Personally if I do something for a couple of weeks it can become a habit, or not doing something. And I have taken up and given up a lot of habits

This was my second visit to the ICE facility in Baltimore. Each time, it made the hair stand up on my arms.

The conditions are inhumane, and the treatment of people is unacceptable.

Instead of lowering gas prices, this Administration chooses to spend its time on this CRUELTY.

The USA used the war to replace the British empire as the major political, economic and military power in the world. Without rebuilding Europe etc you would have been alone and isolated. You Americans keep forgetting that but you're about to experience this now

I don't disagree with you here, I've been boycotting Israel for 17 years since I saw my first non western reporting of what was going on in Palestine. I know that the lesser evil is hard to swallow but the greater evil is worse.

Absolutely not. All innocent death is equally terrible. It comes down to a simple numbers game, this evil man will kill more people than the damaged Western system would under another leader.
