Pleased to have made my maiden speech at full council on the subject of school exclusions - councils and government must address the root causes behind exclusions, and work constructively with all schools and academy trusts.
Important intervention from Gordon Brown, calling for a commission on palliative care as an alternative to assisted dying. I'm so glad to see him write that people on all sides of the debate share a compassion for those suffering at the end of life.
