Super cool! I found Alp switch clones that fit my keycaps from the Toshiba T3100/20 laptop of mine! Looks like I can recreate the circuit board to my own modern design~

Sculpting out the left side engine bay to make a sheet metal form. This time really focusing on bends, less welding, and better coverage.

Very beautiful piece. The contrast dividing the middle highlighted by the red eyes is a wonderful choice.

Yesterday I absolutely hit a rare moment of word counts for the day. I average 2000 words if I've got a good flow, but the demand for this fight scene had me rocket past at a total of 6,700 words! I'm going to spend today editing it~

And after a few hours of acetone and coffee filter scrubbing, we painted all welded sections and engine bay on this side. A 3M rubberized undercoating then sprayed everywhere.

Finished the welds on this area. I hate the look of the welds, but it's the best I can do with an arc welder from the 70's against 16 gauge sheet steel. Had to add a triangle cut to clear tire at full turn and spring compression.

Found a picture that rings heavy a certain bit of conversation in my book: the last thing that Misha ever saw before her sight faded away. A crystal doorknob struck by sunlight.

Just writing my first post here. Currently wrapping up shock tower elimination welding on the GT. I'll post a picture here of my horrible welding.
