WIP picture of the heavily reposed Argel Tal I've been building and painting. The original model kit is produced and sold by Games Workshop / Forgeworld. The paintjob is held close to lore-accurate depictions following a "Horus Heresy Legions" card art (seen in another image within this post, which features a lot of saturated reds, with slightly orange leaning highlights and horns being black towards the tips with some fleshy mid tones in the blend toward those black ranges. The Eye lenses of the helmet, as well as the daemonic eyes on pauldron and thigh, are mainly greenwith a blend into yellow toward the center. The spear arm is painted in brown and beige hues, with fine vein details, stippled magenta details to create a sort of sore flesh and black, sharp-looking claws. The serrated sun sigill on the chest as well as the first steel nmm bits of the armor ar painted as such with greys and white. It's photographed in front of neutral grey background and features a small sized low opacity version of the CryoCheese icon in the bottom left corner.

Painted LOTS of bright red on Argel Tals armor.

Maybe too bright and saturated for Word Bearer colors, but that can be sorted too :)

Either way, very happy with the progress!

Granny Weatherwax is finished!

Although I had a lot of problems painting her, and she didn't turn out as well as I hoped, I'm still so happy with what I accomplished. Lessons were learned and hopefully I did Esme justice.

Some day I might fix her hat brim and paint a gold bee on the plinth. ☺️

I decided to enter Online Armies on Parade for the first time this year. I was walking home from work and wondered what the maximum number of models I could fit on an entry board is - turns out it's 400. All basic Infantry Squads apart from a Command Squad, headed by Captain Stagler, at the front.
