If you have watched the last 2 and a half minutes of the Right Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde's homily this morning, I urge you to watch the whole 15 minutes. My first impression is that of the entire inauguration, this speech will be the one remembered and studied for decades.
Our current curriculum unit is focused on the US Government and being a “good” and “responsible” citizen. How are we complicating this idea for our students? How are we helping kids grapple with the idea that sometimes laws and rules are unjust and it is heroic to break them?
