This panel offers an honest look at the day-to-day realities behind long-form comics work. Moderated by Kane Lynch and Mary Shyne, a group of graphic novelists will discuss their creative routines, the hurdles they’ve faced, and the strategies that helped them push through to the finish line. Fair point...I didn't realize that a lot of the "recent" DC stuff I'd seen from him was repackaged older stuff.

I'm not really involved in "mainstream" comics (DC, Marvel, etc) either professionally or as a fan, but is there, like, a movement to get DC Comics to stop employing Chuck Dixon, a proud champion of fascist violence? They cancelled Gretchen Felker-Martin for far less.

For me, this is def the hardest part of working in comics and it's kinda wild people don't talk about it more.

I got a couple who were semi-pro but a few were just friends and family who I thought had good voices for the characters.

I also had another cartoonist interview me before doing q&a which made the whole thing feel fancy.
