11 Piranesi. pieces in 1 week has got to be my new record. Hopefully this will be enough to keep a few fans of weird, atmospheric and abstract music fed for a while. We're approaching triple digits, which might call for something special?

Shoutouts to Sweet Smell of Success for taking up 2 spots on any list of the most despicable and fascinating sociopathic manipulators in movies, and for also having some insanely punchy dialogue. Feels like every scene had at least one really quotable line. Incredible film.
GRAVEYARD SHIFT, my fast-paced zombie FPS where you use office supplies to kill your coworkers, now has a Steam store page!

With another big update out of the way, I once again have some time for making more Piranesi. pieces. This batch includes the quite unexpected Metal Studies trilogy, as well as a new logo brought on by the new year.

Noted. Coincidentally, Tsui Hark, director of Iron Monkey, also produced The Big Heat and did some directing for it.
I love movies.
The Big Heat (1988)
I'm always caught off guard upon revisiting Charles Lloyd's take on La Llorona, the piano is so tastefully restrained even on these dramatic chords and when the band finally comes in, they do it so gracefully it feels like they were always there.
And now this should be pretty evident why it took so long and the ungodly amount of work it took to deliver. Infinite love to the rest of the programmers, with special thanks to those at New Blood who shifted over to working on ULTRAKILL, for all your contributions!
Hotfixes and OST soon, etc etc
TOMORROW.
I'd been looking forward to more Gorrch since their extremely promising 2020 EP Introvertere, and now that their new full-length is here 6 years later, I can safely say it was worth the wait. Blistering blast beats, ice cold dissonant riffs, no breaks.

Obscure record I discovered, any of you heard this? Charming little thing…
Because I like it? What kind of question is that?

My all-time favorite albums as of the beginning of 2026. Maximum 2 albums per artist.
I think this is one of your best recent works. Love it.
Didn't know about Depardieu, but whenever I watch something Polanski is involved with, that always goes through my mind. Terrible people can sometimes make really great art, which makes for an awkward dilemma.
I love the feeling of sitting down to watch something on a whim and realizing just based on how juicy the filmmaking is that you're about to witness something great.

RIP Béla Tarr, director of one of my favorite movies ever, Sátántangó. One of the best to ever work in the Slow Cinema space, his molasses-like pacing paints a perfect portrait of aimlessness and hopelessness in a quiet and resigned way. A one-of-a-kind director.

Take care of yourself.
