The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

Gotta say, I'm kind of proud of this one:

He's turning 80 this year, and I don't know how many years we will have left together, but I will continue to cherish and treasure every single one I get, knowing I've been blessed and privileged to have has this man as my father.

My dad, a staunch feminist, atheist, and leftist, made all that available to me. He still plays Call of Cthulhu, or another ttrpg, once a week with a lot of those students he GMed for back then, now adults with their own families. He's still one of my biggest supporters.

It gave me something to look forward to on a weekly basis, validation from much older (and in my eyes "cool") uni students that I was someone who was fun to be around and worthy of friends. It fuelled my imagination and creativity. It gave me a sense of community for the first time.

Eventually, I joined the game as a player, and this game, which stretched over about 2 years, helped me get through school as an undiagnosed ADHDer who's struggled both socially and academically.
