I went to my first writing meetup in a looooong time today and y'all, I forgot what it was like to be around other creative people ... I'm gonna have to get involved in a writers' group up in Ann Arbor after I move bc I can't lose that type of connection again

My favorite has to be Mary Roach’s Stiff: The Curious Life of Cadavers! It’s hilarious but also incredibly respectful & actually inspired my current living will (which everybody 100% should have)

I’m actually pretty proud of myself for last month’s reading progress. My goal for 2026 is 12 books (I read all of one book last year) &I read 3 already! Was one of them a graphic novel? Why yes it was! And it was glorious.

I made a discovery last night that a biiiiig portion of one of my main plots makes no fucking sense - the Big Event just kind of exists without any connection to the story I want to tell & ugghhhhhhhhhhhhh
