That they believe history is to be learnt from and that the past is necessary to the birth of tomorrow, they’ve seen so much novelty become tradition and become iterated on and love for that. History only grows longer, stories become legends. You can revisit them at your leisure. It’s okay.

I love how folks all love different gods from great god grove in their own ways but I wanna give a shout-out to bauhauzzo. It is rare to see something that expresses tradition not in a reactionary light or treated as old hat. The sense of compassion they have for witnessing so much makes me tearful.

Hi I did another analysis of GGG based on You-Know-Who and how people talk about said character (myself included). Spoilers are under the cut. It is kind of funny that in order to not spoil people on the central plot point of great god grove I and others have to sort of flanderize inspekta or otherwise downplay the deeper aspects of his character. but in a way it's kind of perfect, because that's the exact thing inspekta does. inspekta's entire deal is masking his true intentions behind a cutesy appearance and spreading propaganda about himself and the bizzyboys. He does this by not only hiding his own flaws but exaggerating the flaws of others.

And while there is plenty in-universe propaganda, it's also exactly what limbolane does/did in terms of advertising the game. Basically every piece of advertising also emphasizes Inspekta and the bizzyboys' role in the story heavily while demonizing King and making her out to be the main enemy. Once in a generation, the gods come together to postpone the apocalypse. But this time, the god of communication started a bunch of godly fights and then went awol. With the sky splitting and the gods in disarray, who's gonna join the Bizzyboys to help SAVE DA WORLD FROM A-POCKY-LIPS??? The god of TEAMWORK? The god of LOVE SONGS? Drain it, who’s in charge around here…? In some parts of the advertising text, it's almost like Inspekta himself wrote it!

There's also the humorous irony of Inspekta being so popular as to warrant a marketable plush of him being made, much like the in-game one. At the same time there is something to be said about the idea of the "fandomization" of characters, and how comparable that is to the bizzyboys situation of idolizing Inspekta (especially Capochin). This isn't at all a criticism of the fanbase by the way (I'm not active enough in it to warrant commenting on it anyway) I just think it's really funny that the character who's entire flaw is making himself appear cutesy and marketable is also the most popular character in the game by far. And one of the few ways we can show love for this character without spoiling the experience for others is by effectively making propaganda for him and NOT mentioning his evil intentions. I don't know if it was intended by the main text, but I think it's beautiful that fate shook out in a way where the art somehow managed to be self-reinforcing.
