What if Georgiana Darcy and Kitty Bennet were teen lesbians? What if the man who almost ruined Georgiana's reputation last time is back?? Can Georgiana protect her family name and find a safe future for her and Kitty??? Out April in US/CAN.

11.02.2025 22:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So happy to have been involved in this investigation, and to see Hester's story (and more) to be properly published in an actual, real book. (Pre-order links below.)
11.02.2025 17:53 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Not just one for Operation Mincemeat fans. This whole journey to uncovering Hester is truly one of the power of archives, community and honouring those with lesser known histories who contributed so much. God thatβs brilliant.
11.02.2025 12:14 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The book not only features Hesterβs story but also chapters on Montagu, Cholmondeley, Watkins (by Claudia Caplan), Haselden (by Rose Crossgrove) and Averil, who helped Hester write the letters (by Greg Callus). Jack Lawrence also shares the story of finding Hesterβs living family!
11.02.2025 12:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0URGENT MEMO RE: FINDING HESTER In 1943, Hester Leggatt wrote a pair of fake love letters as part of a decoy mission that helped change the course of World War Two. She spent the next eighty years, like so many other women working behind the scenes, lost to history. In 2023, a group of fans of newly opened West End musical βOperation Mincemeatβ were inspired by its message of doing something useful. Hester, now a character in the show, deserved to have her real story known. Scouring archival documents, reaching out to MI5, tracking down living family members, and using her wartime diaries and real love letters, the team found so much more than they ever expected. FINDING HESTER tells both the story of Hester Leggatt and the people who found her. The book will be published on June 5th 2025 by Mirror Books. It is available for preorder now.
We are so excited to announce that Mirror Books are publishing the story of how the Mincefluencers found Hester π«‘ Itβs coming your way June 5th this year and you can preorder now!

If youβve ever read Pride and Prejudice and thought βthis should be gayerβ, The Ungovernable Heart of Miss Darcy is for you π Mr Darcy got his happily ever after, now itβs his younger sisterβs turn. And her attentionβs drawn to a different Bennet sister π
27.01.2025 10:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For the past few years Iβve been dedicating my all-important birthday wish to hoping itβll be the year I get an agent. I must have wished extra hard last year because not only did I end up with an incredible agent, I am SO excited that I can spend my birthday announcing this!
27.01.2025 10:08 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 5 π 1I wish I did! Maybe I need to learn Russian and read the case files π
18.01.2025 11:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I honestly have no idea! I think every theory has to ignore at least one piece of evidence to make itself fit. Mostly because cutting themselves out of the tent suggests leaving in a hurry, but the footsteps of them leaving are supposedly walking pace. Hard to reconcile the two.
12.01.2025 01:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Probably not yeti aliens, but I guess you never know π
I donβt believe they could have developed hypothermia inside the tent. It wouldnβt explain why they left. We also have their diaries from the trip and they have been perfectly fine in the tent previously. At one point, too warm!
infrasound. And, of course, aliens, government coverups, parachute mines, murder (by escaped prisoners, by each other, etc.). Some are more believable than others π
08.01.2025 23:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I mean hypothermia 100000% is what killed most of them. Their actual deaths arenβt as hard to explain as why they left their tent without shoes on. Thereβs not really evidence of an avalanche, and itβs not an avalanche prone area. The theories are everything from aliens to katabatic wind, yetis to
08.01.2025 23:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0happened on the night they all died. As I say, Iβm not completely convinced, but the emotional heft of it all is intense. I can buy a lot of the theories of what happened to the hikers that ended their lives, but I donβt think anyoneβs ever sufficiently explained why they first left their tent.
08.01.2025 00:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I definitely recommend giving it a read! Itβs not the newest book on the case and there have been developments since (although Iβm not sure many people are convinced but the βofficialβ explanation) but itβs well written and a good intro! The final chapter is basically the authorβs theory of what
08.01.2025 00:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Although Iβm not convinced itβs solved the case. A compelling (and super emotive π ) suggestion, without a doubt, but there are some details of the scene that it just canβt reconcile.
07.01.2025 08:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You may well have done! The book made me cry in public when I finished it, though, so would definitely recommend π π
07.01.2025 08:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love a good nonfiction read but they usually take me longer to get through than fiction. This one, though, Iβm flying through! Itβs incredibly compelling.
