oh yeah, there are more dangerous/higher priority stretches. this one is just particularly easy. could eliminate one lane, keep the lanes similarly narrow with small shoulders, and at least prevent these especially devastating head-on crashes

center barriers on columbia parkway could prevent crashes like this, but it's more important to cram in as many lanes as possible
