And that’s another nail biting annual event done. Secured a place for next September digging at @vindolandatrust.bsky.social though it was a bit touch and go as I was about 440th in the queue to start with. Roll on next September!πŸ™‚

When I was little I used to drag all the toys of of the toy cupboard (which wasn’t much bigger than that) and crawl inside and close the door

I didn’t but my niece in law contacted me the other week asking for ideas for costumes for a Roman/greek Halloween Party. I gave plenty of ideas but haven’t heard what they went as.

Survived last night but it appears the spirts carried on partying into this morning and by the sound of the thunderstorm we had had a bit of a punch up to finish up!

You definitely don’t want to be doing it today! We had thunder and lightning first thing and it’s a tad grey and soggy at the moment!

Medea is my all time favorite witch but at the moment I’m enjoying reading about the Pendle Witches and the background to them and events leading up to the 1612 Witch Trials. I am also a fan of Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg πŸ˜„

Well done! The weather was pretty yuck yesterday first rain/drizzle then sunny the back to rain. And it was pretty nippy too down here so what it must have been like further up the mountains must have been pretty cold!

The car pinged 4 degrees driving over the Crimea Pass earlier so it could be a bit nippy on Saturday. And the road up from Nant Gwynant was a bit river like in places today if we get anymore rain tomorrow it could be very soggy!

A dodgy entry for #HillfortsWednesday Pendle Hill. Apparently there were Neolithic and Bronze Age burials. I went for the Witches as I’m currently reading β€˜Something Wicked’ about the families involved in the Witch Trials!
