Judge Frimpong just granted LA & others the right to intervene in the B-18/Raids case, strengthening the fight against racial profiling in immigration enforcement.

✊🏽 We WILL keep pushing to end racist ICE practices.

As we await the court’s decision and the case goes on, we will continue to fight to keep our communities safe and whole.

Today, we argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to deny the government’s stay (which would pause the TRO). We’re hopeful the Ninth Circuit keeps the district court’s order in place and continue to protect the right to move and live free from discrimination for all community members.

This month, a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) barring federal agents from conducting racist, suspicion-less stops. The order also ordered that immigrants arrested must have access to legal counsel. The federal government then immediately challenged the TRO and appealed.
