When @governorwalz.mn.gov pointed out that kids were hiding from U.S. authorities in a way that was reminiscent of Anne Frank, instead of honoring the message of "never again", they  admonished the people speaking up against ICE.

Known for being Anne Frank’s posthumous step-sister and for educating thousands about the Holocaust, Eva Schloss refused to back away from making necessary comparisons between anti-immigrant and Nazi policies.

🤲 It should be a time of joy, of prayer, and of celebration. Instead, what we’re hearing from Muslim and Christian friends who are also part of immigrant communities is fear and dread.

🪻Next week, our Muslim neighbors will begin their celebration of Ramadan and–not long after that–our Christian neighbors will celebrate Easter.

☪️ It’s not enough to wish our neighbors “Ramadan Mubarak” this year. We have to build safety through solidarity this year.

Our Jewishness demands that we resist injustice. ICE is tearing families apart and terrorizing our communities. Jewish leaders and community members are showing up. 

On 2/11, Jews will show the world that we reject ICE’s cruelty and violence when we gather near ICE HQ in D.C.

Alejandro was abducted by ICE on October 15th and has been fighting for his freedom ever since. ✊🏾✊🏼✊🏿 He was targeted for being an organizer 😡😡😡 with our long-time partner organization, Allies of Knoxville’s Immigrant Neighbors (AKIN), which has fought Police-ICE terror for years.
