I'm not overly worried tbh, mostly just curious about how the doctor talked about it. It kind of surprised me.

I have no real expectations that anyone here will want to talk to me about this, I get that it’s an uncomfortable situation, so I promise I won’t take it personally if you scroll on by. Even just writing this out is helpful I think, even if no one reads it. It’s been a weird day.

I read 80% of biopsies come back negative so it seems unusual to say it looks like cancer just from a mammogram and ultrasound. I’m good at being numb (thx depression) so I’m not freaked out, just curious tbh. I don’t want to talk to family or IRL friends. They’ll freak out and I don’t want that.

Here’s the part I keep coming back to. He didn’t say “I see something concerning” he said “I want to be honest, it looks like cancer.” Do I have any moots who are medical professionals or who have gone thru something like this? I don’t expect advice of course, just someone willing to talk.

Several weeks ago I had a mammogram. They wanted to do a follow up so I went in again today. Did a gazillion images, waited for the doc to look at them, then he wanted an ultrasound, did that. He told me details about what he saw and ordered a needle biopsy, which I’m waiting for them to schedule.
