I'm not in favour of that, makes us no better than the right. What we need to do, more importantly what the media needs to do is starve them of oxygen as credible commentators & be 1000x more critical of their agenda & words.
A far better term than “pregnant people” in information meant for patients themselves is to opt for a direct, inclusive address. E.g:
“If you’re pregnant, you’re eligible for a free flu vaccine”.
This is technically compliant, more accessible, personal and far warmer than “pregnant people”.
This is petty, cruel and shows the bizarre priorities of NZ First.
