The first thing I read every morning on Facebook is Heather Cox Richardson’s Daily post. From her March 5 post (also on Substack), she says Trump claims he should be involved in choosing Iran’s new leader.
He seems to think he can use the threat of our military to give him personal global power.
This old nursery rhyme keeps running through my mind:

Trump-02 appears to be a made-for-TV reality show. He tries one headliner after another, checks the ratings, and then decides what to do next. Meanwhile innocent children, women, and men suffer and die while Trump plays his games.
Timeline:
2015: Obama & US allies negotiate a deal with Iran not to develop a nuclear weapon.
2018: Trump tears up the Obama deal.
2019: Iran restarts its path to a nuclear weapon.
2026: Trump joins Israel in starting war with Iran to force them to promise not to develop a nuclear weapon.
