The University of Virginia is one of the most elite public schools in the nation and the state of Virginia has a Democratic governor with narrow Democratic majorities in both houses. It's an extremely bad sign for higher education, if UVA can't even try to tackle this fight.

According the author, a former general counsel for the University, "the university's compliance with Title VI is clear"

Key counter point: Title VI prohibits quotas or programs that are exclusive to any one protected class. It does not prevent federal contractors, such as universities, from pursuing the goal of creating a diverse community...

The key allegation is under Title VI: "No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."

I have no idea if this is AI or not, particularly after last week's NY Times AI quiz where my awful score was about average. My best guess is that it is AI based primarily on Cruz's reference to the Philippians as the Fallopians.
