It may not be as overt as I suggested. You get State Governments with Republican Governors/Legislatures to fail to certify the election in a timely fashio due to "irregularities". The election doesn't get certified, wham-o jam-o, results negated.

I am not sure what will be left after 3 more years. The 2026 election will likely either be cancelled, or the results thrown out. Trump's cult will buy into the whole "It was stolen" bullshit a second time. What happens after that is anyone's guess.

If there is anything to be learned from our current situation, it's that Congressional Republicans, and some Democrats, have abdicated their responsibility to govern, to be a check on the corruption of this administration. We have become the shit-hole country.

We are not Rome. We should be better. This administration is taking us down a much darker road. America was never "A Shining City on a Hill", but it's now the waste product of many cities in a valley with no irrigation. We are the shit-hole country now.

And Congress is demonstrating it's lack of willingness to do their job and perform oversight on that agency. Or any other agency. This is our nation now. We had a chance to prevent this, and instead we have this.

Where is the business community and corporate leaders of Minnesota based companies in speaking up? Why aren't the big law firms sending lawyers to represent the people being attacked?

No doubt. It was an execution. It's what happens when you fail to screen would-be law enforcement officers correctly, and allow violent, reactionary people to have a badge.
