4:00 P.M. at Hilltop. 77F and the wind is blowing something fierce! Naturally, the haze is in full bloom. A few people at the overlook. No boids, no lizards and, sadly, no doggos. Even the ice cream truck is AWOL. This has not been an easy day for me, so I had to forego the circular path.

If liars pants really did catch on fire, watching the news would be a lot more fun.

8:30 A.M. at Hilltop. 68F and it's overcast all around. No lizards, but a few boids are up and about. Two nice doggos, a pretty brown setter and a floofy little white guy. Not many people. Wasn't feeling too good, so I skipped the circular path and had to be content with a walk around the overlook.

Arrgghh!!!!!

Gardening is hard!

12:15 P.M. at Hilltop. 83F and fairly clear over Palos Verdes. A few visitors to the overlook and some folks seeking shade under the trees. Met two nice doggos, a spaniel named Lady Bird and a terrier named Bella. Their hooman, Paige, and I had a nice conversation. One lap around the circular path.

8:20 A.M. at Hilltop. Finally made it! 70F, hazy and warming up fast. Predicted high of 92F later today. Yikes! Just a few people here and not a lizard, boid or doggo in sight. 😕 Feeling a little better today so managed my one lap around the circular path without incident.

Had to skip Hilltop again. PT was pretty rough today and in addition, it's hotter than Satan's underwear. We're in what's supposed to be a three-day heat wave. 90F today and even hotter tomorrow. If I can get my butt in gear in the morning, I'll try again at 8:00 A.M.

Never again.

Had to punt Hilltop today. It was very crowded, and parking was non-existent. I could try again later but it's only going to getter hotter and driving there can be a chore. I'll try again tomorrow and hope for the best.

3:25 P.M. at Hilltop. 78F and it's hazy over Palos Verdes. Why am I not surprised? A few people at the overlook, but more are relaxing under the trees on the grass where it's cooler. No lizards, but some boids are flitting about. Three doggos of various flavors. One lap around the circular path.

8:25 A.M. at Hilltop. 67F and breezy. Low clouds over Palos Verdes means the whole thing is in hiding. Just one person at the overlook & he soon left. No lizards or boids, but doggo jackpot! Seven cuties of varying breeds, out with their respective hoomans. Managed one lap around the circular path.

3:05 P.M. at Hilltop. 78F with the usual blah blah blah (read "haze over Palos Verdes.") A few people at the overlook. A few more on the grass. Once again, no lizards, boids or doggos. PT today was a tad rough, so I took it easy. One slow and careful lap around the circular path.

4:25 P.M. at Hilltop. 78F with a nice breeze. Deep haze over Palos Verdes and seeping into downtown Long Beach. No lizards or boids or doggos 😕. Scattering of people at the overlook and additional visitors on the grass. The ice cream truck is here! One rather difficult lap around the circular path.

3:05 P.M. at Hilltop. 77F with a modest breeze. Sunny, clear skies except for the haze over Palos Verdes. No lizards or boids, but one doggo: a cute shepherd with his hooman. Lots of people on the grass, some enjoying In-n-Out. No ice cream truck. One lap around the circular path.

2:00 P.M. at Hilltop. 77F and hazy, what else? Surprised that so few people are here. Two doggos, both spaniels and both energetic, are running around dragging their leads. "Come here, girls!" cries one of their hoomans. I'm still feeling a little wonky from yesterday, so I skipped my usual lap.

4:40 P.M. at Hilltop. 77F and the wind is picking up. It's a mix of clear skies and haze over Palos Verdes. No lizards, boids or doggos, but plenty of people at the overlook and on the grass. A cute little boy came over and looked at me. I waved and he waved back. One lap around the circular path.
