Some people, esp. from the left, work with Indigenous people and think they own them. And if they 'go off the reservation' and do something they don't agree with, they're singled out for things that non-Native people do, and aren't targeted for. And that's why Natives don't work with them anymore.

Walked past this dead guy (paramedics were there) - ghost white, on his back on the pavement (not a rare sight in Vancouver), and what shocked me is that parents with their school kids were walking by, and they let the kids climb to the top of this grass bump to look down at the body.

The term "eliminated" - used for killing a person, even a bad person, is psychopath talk. And I get why combatants use it, they have to dehumanize their opponents - just like the Ukrainians called Russians "orks". But if you can't hear air raid sirens over your house, you should show some restraint.

Iran attacked Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah's Nasrallah. Hezbollah attacked Israel - it says - in retaliation for the killing of Iran's Khamenei. And I've yet to find a news report that connects those two facts - instead they're getting all mercurial about motivation.

Worth noting that on a different website, multiple ABC Vancouver officials follow accounts that post constantly about how Sean Orr is a terrible human being and make all sorts of unproven claims, including one account that creates AI videos of Orr doing all sorts of illegal or evil acts

Really informative - explained why Vancouver's MOBI bike share service is so terrible compared to Montreal's BIXI. In Montreal, I didn't own a bike, I had a BIXI subscription. In Vancouver, the opposite, because MOBI was so unreliable, expensive, and bad.

When I see how onerous this stuff is - I'm reminded of what it was like to register to vote in the Quebec provincial election after the 'printemps érable' protests. Register as normal, then hearing thing before some panel - all in French only - with probing questions, and then home visit to verify.
