Today's announcement on scrapping the two-child limit is the culmination of years of campaigning from social workers & other anti-poverty campaigners. 💪
BASW has proudly fought for this damaging policy to be consigned to history. As a result, thousands of children will now be lifted out of poverty.
Scrapping the two-child limit is the right thing to do. ✅
We're pleased that the government has finally listened to social workers who have been fighting this cruel, inhumane policy since day one.
Today, we lift thousands of children across the UK out of poverty.
🚨 The Chancellor must use today's Budget to end the two-child limit for good, fulfilling a key ask in our manifesto for social work.
Children and families across the UK are depending on it.
