14D: I do NOT want to talk about this one. Moderate D Nominee Womack (52) & runner-up Caldwell (End Endless Wars) (42) both destroyed New Deal Dem hopeful Kargbo (5). It’s nice to see an anti-forever war guy place well, but this is a Loss in a winnable district (Rep Moore (83), 58.1% in 24) (10-9-5)

10D: Ashley Bell (47) is a full marks New Deal Dem poised to challenge Rep Harrigan (88) for his seat (57.5% in 24).

That’s a Win, despite runner-up Caudle (16) being not that far off from being a NDD(End Citizens United/public-option), & a different DSA-endorsed candidate running (10W-9P-4L)

9D: Strike spox Richard Ojeda (42) runs on Making Billionaires Pay (especially for Social Security) to defeat this seat’s 2024 nom, Bristow (27). He will now run against Incumbent Hudson (R), who is vulnerable in a district he only won by 56.3%

Is Ojeda a NDD? Unlikely, but he made Progress (9-9-4)

50501 Rising Stars Dylan Blaha for Congress (IL-13) & Demi Palecek for State House (IL-13)

In the face another illegal war, unconstitutional occupations of our cities, & more threats to our democracy, we want to make sure we're uplifting real fighters.

Today, we're focusing on two of our Rising Stars: Dylan Blaha & Demi Palecek.

8D: Colby Watson (48) is pro-M4A, Remove the Regime, End Citizens United, & End Endless Wars. He won a clear victory over moderate former State Senate nom Kevin Clark (37), in a Trump 59.6% district. Can he beat Rep Mark Harris? He certainly has a shot!

That’s a clear Win, bringing us to (9W-9P-4L)

5R: Vulnerable Incumbent Foxx (75) clinched the R nom.

5D: I’ve met Kyah Creekmore (43) in person. He’s a New Deal Dem+, a YIMBY who’s pushing using a 3-strikes corporate death penalty. Unfortunately, he lost to 2024 Nom Hubbard (57) who supports a public option at least? That’s a big loss (8-8-4)

District 4D: Rep Foushee (49) (M4A/Make Billionaires Pay) & Nida Allam (48) are neck-&-neck.

Allam is a true New Deal Dem, but an AIPAC donor’s/Jeffries-linked superPAC may have dropped enough $$$ in the race to hold her off. That’s devastating if it holds, but this close is progress (8W-8P-3L)

District 1D: Fuck Pro-ICE collaborator Rep Don Davis (unopposed). That is all.

I’m also going to take a moment to clarify that the #s in the parentheses refer to percent of the vote, not age. I’m avoiding use the % sign to save on characters, but figured I’d clear up any confusion.

Quick update: New Deal Dem Jason Pearce pulled ahead to clinch the Dem TX-4 nom. Our new total is 8 Wins, 7 Progresses, and 3 Losses!

AR House- only possible flip is AR-2. Rep French Hill (77%) won only 58.9% in 24. His opponent? ‘22 governor candidate Chris Jones (92%). Not a NDD, but he could win

Since my post, the TX Senate race has been called for James Talarico!

Congratulations to him! I believe his trademark message of hope might just be what we need to defeat the battered survivor of the Cornyn-Paxton runoff, especially with Rep Jasmine Crockett’s support!

I’ll loop back around to this tomorrow. I should note that we are currently sitting at:

7 clear Wins (or soon-to-be-wins) for New Deal Dems, 8 signs of Progress, which helps show which way the political winds are turning, & 3 disappointments.

In 2024, that’d be unthinkable

38: Both the clear Dem frontrunner, McDonough (52%), & her Runner-Up in case of a runoff, Hunter (28%), are moderates, not NDDs.

For the GOP, the Trump & TX Congress-endorsed Bonck (47) is likely going to face a runoff against TX Congress-endorsed deZavallos (19), which may help McDonough.

35: Incumbent-less seat with Trump bent (54.6%). Both parties are going to runoffs.

The Dems: Abolish ICE + M4A Galindo (28) leading Garcia (27), who is a cop. Progress! (7W-8P-3L)

The Reps: State Rep Lyman (33) is leading Rep De La Cruz’s brother Carlos (27)

34D: Pro-ICE collaborator Vicente Gonzalez (63) won against pretty much unknown DSA-endorsee Etienne Rosas (37). When this not a loss?

Because an unknown name got nearly 40% of the vote against a pro-ICE dem. That’s at least a 4-alarm-fire warning for all incumbent conservadems. Progress (7-7-3)

33D = 28D 2: Electric Boogaloo

Former Rep Allred (45) & Rep Johnson (34) are almost certainly heading to a runoff. In a vacuum, neither of them are NDD, but Johnson has called for dismantling ICE & is an out lesbian, while Allred played up transphobic tropes. Progress if she wins, loss if he does.

32R: Neofascist Thiel Acolyte Jace Yarborough (49) is teetering just below the avoidance run-off threshold, with pastor Ryan Binkley (22) holding on for dear life. Yarborough will almost certainly win in the runoff, in a R-leaning seat (Trump 57.7%), but hopefully his anti-life tendencies sink him

32D: Incumbent-less seat. For the Dems, Barrios (60) beat Bridges (40). Bridges is certainly a New Deal Dem (M4A, Make Billionaires Pay, End Endless Wars, Abolish ICE, End Citizens United, Remove the Regime), but it seems like he pushed Barrios to support Abolishing ICE! Progress (7-6-3)

30D: In Jasmine Crockett’s district pre-2025 Texas gerrymander, Pastor Frederick Haynes III (72) cruised to the nomination, all but guaranteeing a victory in the general.

He wants to Abolish & Prosecute ICE, End Endless Wars & pass M4A. He’s a great addition to the New Deal Dems. Win (7-5-3)

28D: Pro-ICE collaborator & Trump Pardonee Henry Cuellar (58) beat challenger & fighter Ricardo Villarreal (37). That’s a Loss, but I thank Villarreal for fighting the good fight (6-5-3).

24D: Rep Ban Duyne (R) is vulnerable after an affair (Trump 57.1%), but we may not know her opponent yet.

Pro-M4A & Pack the Court Kevin Burge (48) is leading, but self-identified conservadem TJ Ware (26), who wants to Abolish ICE & End Citizens United (& has DV allegations), is 2nd. I’m with Burge

23D: Katy Stout (53) appears to be poised to take on the wounded survivor of the Herrera-Gonzalez cluster. I’d read her as left-of-center, but she’s pretty vocally M4A (a trend?). Runner-up Limon (25) ran in 2024 & appears to be to her right. Progress, more because of the GOP fiasco though (6-5-2)

22: Rep Troy Nehls is retiring & his brother, Trever (78), is running to replace him in a seat Trump got <60%? Why?

Marquette Greene-Scott (55), pro-universal healthcare, beat out 5 opponents. Probably not a NDD, but thank G-d she won, because the runner up’s (19) campaign account was all AI memes

21: With Chip Roy running for AG, MLB player Teixeira (61) will be the R nom.

Abolish ICE, Make Billionaires Pay, End Citizens United & pro-MFA Dem Kirstin Hook (60) soundly beats out Vanburg (28) who … also held those positions? Even Taylor’s (18) pro-MFA! Let’s keep that Win energy going (6-4-2)

18D: G-d, this one is weird. Newly elected Rep Menefee (46) will likely face a runoff against Rep Green (45)-vying for 1 safe Blue Seat like 2 zombie apocalypse survivors.

Green is THE Remove the Regime guy & has been pro-ICE abolition since 2018, but Menefee does too & wants MFA. Too close to call

17D: Odd situation. Milah Flores (42) & Cesar Shepard (32) are likely going to a runoff. Both support Abolishing ICE, & blocked Gordon Mitchell (26), who changed his name to hide his pro-book banning, anti-LGBTQ+/ethnic studies past.

Progress on the road to hopefully booting Rep Sessions? (5-4-2)

15D: This district just needs one shove to push it Blue, but that shove will have to come from moderate Tejano musician Bobby Pulido (68), soundly beat Dr. Cuellar (32). Unfortunately, Cuellar was the one who wanted to Abolish ICE.

Hopefully Star power bests Rep De La Cruz (R) too. Loss (5-3-2)

12D: Rodriguez-Pillman (60), who was running on every New Deal Dem Policy(!!!), defeats Morgan-Aguilera (41). Funnily enough, M-A was also pro-M4A.

Uphill battle against Rep Goldman, but one of those ~60-40 R-gerrymander seats will dummy if we contest them all. Why not this one! Win (5-3-1).
