I had such a big crush on Eric Dane, aka McSteamy, as a teenager during peak Grey's Anatomy. ALS is awful...but he was outspoken, visible, and did all he could to raise even more awareness. RIP, you handsome devil.

I respect Dane for being so public about how ALS impacted him when it was also probably clear to him he didn't have much more time left. Truly few things scare me health diagnosis-wise as ALS does.
