A great segment from PBS yesterday about window collisions and urban bird life!
The segment starts at the 16m13s mark in the video, and talks about the dangers windows pose to birds, and effective methods to protect their lives

Winter birding is picking up so get out there and enjoy our juncos as well as the snow buntings, lapland longspurs, horned larks, and snowy owls who also spend their winters with us in Waterloo Region.
Wishing everyone a wonderful restful time and we will be back in the new year!
We’re looking forward to official City of Kitchener endorsement of our city bird in the new year but for now our bird team is going to rest and enjoy the holidays.
