🔹 The Marie and Louis Pasteur University invited Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës - also a member of the @starseu.bsky.social alliance - to highlight how the programme is driving the strengthening of inclusion, social justice and interdisciplinary research in European higher education.

🔹 The @uio.no presented its upcoming 2026–2030 action plan, which has an expanded focus on diversity covering gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability and more.

🔹 The @ucy1.bsky.social presented its action plan, which is based on five pillars, including fair recruitment practices and the prevention of gender-based violence.

Additionally, the GEP of the STARS EU alliance - of which Marie and Louis Pasteur University is a member - was presented, offering a broader, collaborative approach to gender equality across multiple institutions.

The event featured concrete examples of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) implemented by the consortium’s member universities.

On June 4th, we hosted a webinar dedicated to a key issue in European projects: gender equality in Horizon Europe.

📖 Through the lens of printing, Greek texts, and the religious and cultural identities of the time, Dr. Constantinidou explains how Greek letters were assimilated into the Western world and how they contributed to the birth of the Renaissance.

📚 Based at the Academy’s Research Centre for Primary Sources of the Ancient World and federally funded, the CAGB project studies how Aristotle’s philosophy spread through Byzantium—publishing critical editions of commentaries, paraphrases, and scholia.

We are happy to announce that as of June 1, 2025, Chiara Gazzini, one of GrECI's ECRs has taken up a position as Research Associate at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, contributing to the project "Commentaria in Aristotelem Graeca et Byzantina" (CAGB).

The #GrECI ECR team is attending an engaging seminar on Digital Storytelling using ArcGIS StoryMaps, taking place at the Library and Resource Center of the @ucy1.bsky.social, in #Nicosia.

The conference was held in French and English, with simultaneous translation and a hybrid format, allowing broad international participation.

Over three days, twelve papers and one keynote lecture, organised into seven sessions, provided in-depth case studies on the uses of Greek sources in early modern polemics.

Participants examined how ancient Greek texts and language inspired new intellectual directions during the Renaissance and contributed to the development of religious arguments throughout the Reformation period.

For the first time, this workshop offered a comprehensive exploration of the role of classical and patristic Greek sources in the reformist writings and confessional debates that shaped sixteenth-century Europe.
